  • Minli Xu is currently a 2nd year Ph.D. student in IT Ph.D. program (Bioinformatics track), at UNC Charlotte.
  • Minli comes from Shanghai, China, where he was born had his pre-college education. Minli Xu obtained his B.Sc degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with major in Molecular Biotechnology and double minors in Computer Science and Mathematics.During the undergraduate study, Minli developed a strong interest towards the inter-disciplinary study of computational biology. Minli is also deeply fanscinated by theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence.
  • After undergraduate, Minli sought further education at graduate school level. He was offered admission to the graduate school at UNC Charlotte starting from Fall/2007 semester. Currently Minli Xu works as a research assistant within Dr. Su ‘s group who focus on the study of cis-regulatory system in prokaryotes. Current research projects include genome-wide transcription factor binding sites prediction, evaluation of transcription regulatory network, algorithm development for comparative genomics analysis, etc.
